This Privacy Policy describes how Andify OÜ ("PostOwl," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information of users of our website postowl.io (the "Site") and our services (the "Services").

    • Profile Information: You may provide additional information for your profile, such as your profile picture, bio, and other details.
    • Content: We collect the posts, tweets, responses, and other content you create or schedule using our Services.
    • Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect your payment information (e.g., credit card details) through our payment processor.
    • Communications: We collect information when you contact us, such as your name, email address, and the content of your message.

  • Information We Collect Automatically:

    • Usage Data: We collect information about how you use our Services, such as the features you use, the content you view, and the dates and times of your activities.
    • Device Information: We collect information about your device, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
    • Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your browsing behavior on our Site.

  • Information from Third-Party Services:

    • Connected Accounts: If you connect a social media account (X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok) to our Services via that platform's official authorization (OAuth) flow, we collect information from that account needed to publish and schedule on your behalf — such as your profile information, account/page identifiers, and the access (and where applicable refresh) tokens that authorize posting. See Social Media Platform Integrations below for the specific data we receive from Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok and how we use it.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • Provide and Improve Services: To provide, maintain, and improve our Services, including personalizing your experience and developing new features.
  • Account Management: To manage your account, process payments, and provide customer support.
  • Communication: To communicate with you about our Services, including sending you updates, notifications, and promotional materials.
  • Analytics: To analyze how you use our Services and track key metrics to improve our performance.
  • Security: To protect the security and integrity of our Services and prevent fraud.
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws and regulations.

How We Share Your Information

We may share your information with the following parties:

  • Service Providers: We share information with third-party service providers who assist us in providing our Services, such as payment processors, hosting providers, and analytics providers.
  • Connected Accounts: If you connect your X/Twitter or other social media accounts to our Services, we share your content and activity data with those platforms.
  • Legal Authorities: We may disclose your information to legal authorities if required by law or legal process.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

Social Media Platform Integrations

To publish and schedule content for you, PostOwl integrates with third-party social platforms. We access this information only with your authorization (through each platform's official OAuth login) and use it solely to provide the connection, publishing, scheduling, and related features you request. We do not sell this data, share it with data brokers or advertising networks, or use it for any purpose unrelated to operating the Services.

When you connect an account we store the access token (and, where the platform issues one, a refresh token) required to act on your behalf. These tokens are encrypted at rest. You can revoke our access at any time by disconnecting the account in Settings, or from the platform's own app/permission settings.

Facebook and Instagram (Meta)

  • When you connect through Facebook Login, we access the Facebook Pages you manage (page id, name, and page access token) and any linked Instagram Business or Creator account (id, username, profile picture).
  • We use this information only to publish and schedule the posts, photos, videos, Reels, Stories, and comments that you create and direct us to send to the Pages and accounts you select.
  • PostOwl's collection and use of information received from Meta APIs adheres to the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies, including their data-use and Limited Use requirements. We do not use Meta data for advertising and do not transfer it to data brokers.
  • We cannot and do not post to personal Facebook profiles — only to Pages you administer.

TikTok

  • When you connect TikTok, we access your basic profile information (open id, union id, display name, and avatar) and use TikTok's Content Posting API to publish or upload the videos and photos you create and direct us to post.
  • PostOwl's use of TikTok information complies with the TikTok Developer Terms of Service and applicable TikTok policies.
  • You control the privacy level and content disclosures (e.g. branded-content settings) for each TikTok post before it is published.

Data Retention and Deletion

  • We retain your connection data and platform tokens only for as long as the account remains connected and your PostOwl account is active.
  • Disconnecting an account in Settings immediately deactivates the connection and removes the stored access/refresh tokens, ending our ability to access that platform on your behalf. Any pending scheduled posts for that account are cancelled.
  • You may request deletion of all personal data we hold about you at any time by emailing support@postowl.io. We will action verified deletion requests within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations.
  • You can also revoke PostOwl's access directly from each platform: Facebook/Instagram via Settings → Business Integrations (Facebook) and TikTok via Settings → Security & permissions → Manage app permissions.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: You have the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
  • Deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information.
  • Opt-Out: You can opt-out of receiving promotional communications from us.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure.

Limitation Regarding Third-Party API Access

  • We rely on third-party services — including X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and TikTok — to provide certain features of our Services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective privacy policies and terms of service.
  • We are not responsible for any limitations, restrictions, or termination of access to your connected accounts or API access imposed by X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, or other third-party platforms.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on our Site and update the "Last Updated" date above.
